Capacity increased by mezzanine June 1st 2006 When electrical contractors, Clarkson Evans, needed to increase storage capacity at its Staverton site, Rapid Racking was called upon to provide a solution.
Having supplied racking to Clarkson Evans for many years, Rapid Racking had already maximised the Staverton premises, but as further expansion was required a more engineered solution was needed.
Unlike other electrical contractors, Clarkson Evans stocks all fixtures, fittings and equipment in-house, so the central stores are well stocked. Rapid Racking worked closely with Clarkson Evans to develop a solution that would eliminate the need to source additional premises.
Phase one of the project was to erect a mezzanine floor over the top of the existing racking. Phase two of the project was to install further racking on the new mezzanine floor.
Rod Pratt, Clarkson Evans' regional stores manager is delighted with the 'rapid' service received.
"It was essential that this project took place with minimum disruption to our operation," he says. "Rapid Racking were able to install the mezzanine floor over one weekend. We needed to be up and running on the Monday and I am pleased to say that the job was completed on time within the agreed installation schedule."
Rapid Racking's design solution has increased Clarkson Evans' storage capacity by 80% and will allow for continued growth. More articles from Rapid Racking Ltd: |
