Bespoke live racking reduces stock December 1st 2004 Robert Bosch has invested in the LeanTek modular system as part of a project to reduce stock levels in the final assembly area at its Cardiff plant. Introduction of the bespoke live storage rack has resulted in a 58% reduction in lineside containers.
The Tube & Bracket Company, UK distributors of the LeanTek range, were invited to view and assess the assembly area.
The company presented a comprehensive cost-effective solution, designing a variety of bespoke live storage racks to integrate with existing permanent fixtures. All racks are fitted with reinforced roller track to promote first-in-first-out stock rotation and allow part delivery to the exact point of use rather than the end of line.
The modular nature of the system means that if future modification is required, components are available on a next day basis. More articles from The Tube & Bracket Co Ltd: |
