Investment strengthens Stow February 1st 2006 As a wholly owned subsidiary of Stow International, Stow UK enjoys the backing of an established global organisation. The company's extensive product portfolio ranges from basic shelving through to heavy duty pallet racking.
Manufacture takes place at a fully automated facility in Dottenijs, Belgium. Subject to a high level of continuous development and investment, the site has recently been extended with the addition of three new rolling mills, giving the plant a total capacity of 110,000t per annum.
Thanks to the high levels of automation at Stow's manufacturing facility, labour costs are kept to a minimum, enabling competitive pricing to be maintained. It also means that the company is able to offer products of a uniform high quality (to FEM and/or SEMA standards as required).
Under the guidance of managing director, Tony Lock, Stow UK is also benefiting from more local investment. The company recently relocated to premises in Swindon, where it has its own warehousing facility and office accommodation. As an expanding organisation, importance is placed on investment in staff training and skills.
"This industry tends to have foundered because there is a lack of real passion for customer service, for finding the perfect solution.' says Lock. "I feel that if you can truly understand your customer's business, you can provide a facility that will be key to their overall success."
"Of course, many of our customers are already very informed in this area, but equally there are some who greatly benefit from the expertise and advice we can offer," adds Kevin Mallinson, Stow UK's national sales manager.
In addition to the highly competent team of experts employed by Stow UK, the company's ability to provide a highly flexible product range ensures that customers will always benefit from the most appropriate solution.
Testament to the company's success, its recent client list includes Ikea, Honda and Hozelock.
