Kanban storage for production flexibility

Designed for increased flexibility, BITO Storage Systems has launched a new lineside production storage unit. The Kanban Unit shelving system is an inter-changeable structure that provides slide shelving, glide rail and roller live storage capacity in one.

Able to adapt to changes in components or work in progress, the Kanban Unit accommodates both VDA and KLT plastic containers as well as small parts containers and cardboard cartons. Each level can be fitted with glide rails that store standard containers, roller based live storage or simple tilted shelving. Maximum load capacity per level is 200kg, with the overall load capacity per bay being 3000kg.

Each variant is 2.5m high and 1.333m wide, with starter units and bay extensions to make any length of lineside storage possible. Available in three epoxy coated colours, the unit can be fitted with swivel and fixed castors and a universal divider 20mm wide and adjustable by 11mm increments to separate storage lanes. Each divider comes with a steel clip fixing that allows even faster re-adjustment of lane width independently from the roller track position.
