Putting longspan out of a job? February 1st 2005 Rackline Ltd has developed a new, light industrial/retail shelving system that eliminates the current compromise solutions.
Prospan can be specified in lengths between 1200mm and 2000mm, up to six metres in height with a capacity spread load of 150kg per shelf.
Normally for these performance parameters longspan shelving is specified – which Rackline says is over engineered for the job – with the result that companies pay more than necessary.
Also longspan installations up to 2000mm long need supporting beams. These reduce the aperture of the shelf, resulting in a reduction in capacity.
According to Rackline, Prospan eliminates these problems, thereby eliminating any compromise in performance whilst keeping down costs.
Prospan is designed with solid post sections for performance and the shelves are positioned through adjustable clips rather than bolts. This allows for rapid reconfiguration to meet flexible storage requirements or fast replacement if any of the system gets damaged.
Aesthetically pleasing end panels add sophistication that complements back of office and areas such as in retail where the installation is visible to customers, according to the company.
Prospan is available as both static and mobile systems depending on your requirements (Rackline has provided more than 11,000 mobile installations throughout the UK).
CAD planning, project management and installation complete the Rackline package.
