Software driven high bay storage

Savoye Logistics has installed a software driven high bay storage and retrieval system at AstraZeneca UKs Investigational Products Facility in Cheshire.

Designed for compact, cost effective storage on a site where space is at a premium, the system provides security, traceability and safe procedures required for pharmaceutical products. The facility can store up to 1050 pallets, nine high on double deep racking, with automatic temperature control.

Savoyes ability to develop tailored software for pharmaceutical products was a critical factor during the selection process. AstraZeneca is reported to have been particularly impressed with Savoyes understanding of its requirements and documentation standards.
