Stock holding capacity doubled

Specialist metals and industrial plastics supplier, Righton, has doubled stockholding capacity at its West Yorkshire service centre with the installation of custombuilt racking from Pro-Dek Storage Systems.

The mix of storage equipment used previously has been replaced entirely with cantilever racking in order to provide more flexibility for the wide variety of products stocked - sheet materials measure up to 3m x 2m, while profiles may be up to 6m long.

The racking installed by Pro-Dek is either 6.5m or 7m high, depending on its position in the warehouse, with between 12 or 16 arm positions on the vertical columns to take account of different products. The arms can be adjusted vertically in 150mm increments, and arm lengths have also been chosen to suit different product dimensions and range from 1.5 to 2.5m.
