Storage to bank on
December 1st 2005

Toolbank's new warehouse in Halesowen houses over 20,000 individual hand and power tools. When it came to selecting racking and shelving for the facility, the tool distributor chose a finely honed storage system from Linpac Storage Systems.

Smaller items are stored on shelves in a two tier section, which includes both Longspan and Linspace shelving. In total there are 20,000 shelving locations, with the smallest items neatly arranged in Linbins.

Flammable items are positioned on shelves in a safe area with a steel clad roof, special lighting, ventilation and a self closing door. A conveyor is used to take the picked products down from the top tier of shelving to the packing area on the ground floor.

Timber decked pallet racking contains up to 1000 Euro pallets of bulk stock.
