Big warehouses for small budgets June 1st 2005 Quick to erect and not requiring the foundations needed by conventional structures, BestHall buildings comprise a steel framework, offer interrupted internal spans of between 10m and 100m and are covered by a high quality PVC coated polyester membrane. According to UK distributors, Collinson, the steel frame of structures up to 50m span can be fixed to an asphalt base very quickly using a specially developed steel anchor plate. Base costs are much lower than traditional concrete foundations – often an existing car park or hardstanding can be used.
According to Collinson, a 1500m2 hall can be assembled in just two weeks, and the buildings can be dismantled and moved to other sites if necessary.
Translucent white is popular for the PVC roof, because it lets in natural light, making lighting unnecessary during working hours. Sliding or roller doors and personnel doors can be incorporated.
The steel frame is built to withstand Scandinavian winters and will support cranes and hoists. More articles from Collinson plc: |
