Temporary building within warehouse October 1st 2005 Lockwoods Technical Services was recently appointed main contractor for Avocet Hardware during the fit out of its new distribution warehouse building.
Manufacturer and distributor of window and door hardware, Avocet wanted the production and packing area of the operation to be housed within the warehouse as a completely self-contained work area. The quickest and most effective way to achieve this was to install a smaller building within the permanent warehouse.
Lockwoods contacted TempAstor and were provided with a proposal that fulfiled their needs completely. An aluminium framed structure 15 by 35m with a 4m eaves height was purchased complete with security steel cladding walls and two 5m bay PVC window walls. As the main warehouse already provided a high level of security, the smaller structure was left with two wall openings as opposed to doors.
Avocet is now able to run the production and packing operation alongside the warehousing facility but as a completely self-contained unit. More articles from Spaciotempo UK Ltd: |
