Coop Denmark signs automation service contract with Dematic
05 November 2020
The deal is an expansion of an existing service contract and will now cover all automation solutions at Coop Denmark’s Odense DC.

The new contract now covers Dematic’s own Multishuttle tote storage system at the 65,000 sq m distribution centre, and also the high-bay storage system and AutoStore installation. Dematic will provide all on-site support services with 26 employees now based full-time at the Coop facility to carry out predictive, planned and reactive maintenance, gather data and work with Coop’s own teams to improve the facility’s automated systems and ensure maximum uptime and throughput.
Coop Denmark process and technical manager Morten Boye said: “The automation systems at our Odense facility are the engine room of our entire supply chain operation. For us, a service contract cannot be a transactional relationship. We need a partner who’s always-on, and is constantly looking for ways to make things better.”
