Port takes two RTG cranes
13 April 2020
TCEEGE Konteyner Terminal İşletmeleri AŞ has bought two Kalmar diesel-electric rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes.

Handover is scheduled to be completed in Q420. TCEEGE is located 55km from the city of Izmir on the west coast of Turkey. The terminal has an annual capacity of 500,000 TEU and has recently been purchased by the Turkish company Ege Gubre from the Spanish company Grup Maritim TCB.
The new Kalmar RTG combines diesel and electric technology for fuel savings, low emissions and easy maintenance. At 1,000 hours, it is said to have one of the longest maintenance intervals in the industry. Its modular design makes it easy to tailor to customer-specific requirements.
