Varied learning formats help managers access vital training
20 July 2021
MENTOR FLT Training is set to launch a new video conferencing version of its popular Managing Forklift Operations course to provide further flexible and cost-effective training options to the industry.

Already available in face-to-face and e-learning formats, the course will now also be available via Microsoft Teams to offer businesses the benefits of facilitated training via an online platform.
“Managers can be extremely busy due to operational pressures and deadlines, so taking time away for classroom-based courses doesn’t always suit everyone,” explains Stuart Taylor, Managing Director at Mentor. “Businesses with numerous sites also often struggle to arrange a convenient central location for managers to meet to attend. To overcome these challenges and meet customer demand, we created a video-conferencing alternative of our Managing Forklift Operations course.
“It allows delegates to train remotely from a location that is convenient for them, with the added benefit of having an experienced and knowledgeable tutor on hand via video link to generate discussions, offer support, answer questions, and encourage active engagement throughout the course.
“By offering our course in a variety of formats, managers can more easily access the crucial training they need to meet their legal responsibilities and uphold safety on their sites, as required by Approved Code of Practice L117.”
Mentor’s new video conferencing course has been designed not only as a convenient solution, but a cost-effective one.
“Larger businesses often have multiple managers around the country who require this level of training – with the video conferencing option they can train together, to the same accredited standard, regardless of their location, and without the travel, accommodation and expense costs associated with off-site courses.”
Mentor is now taking bookings for the Managing Forklift Operations course delivered via video-conferencing.
