Automation specialist KNAPP will be
presenting its universal shuttle
concept on Stand 45. Intended to
minimise the number of different
technologies in the warehouse, this
concept uses a shuttle unit as the
universal handling device. Benefits
include a manageable number of
components, high reliability, a shorter
start-up phase, lower maintenance
costs and total system scalability.
Central to the shuttle concept is KNAPP's OSR (order, storage & retrieval) system, which combines a shuttle-based automatic store with pick-to-light stations. The OSR range is continually expanding, with OSR 15, 32 and 50 models now available (handling up to 15, 32 or 50kg), double-deep configurations possible and a new, twin-lift version soon to be available.
