Kimberly Clark has upgraded safety
standards across its international
plants thanks to safety barrier
specialist, A-Safe. Since trialling a
section of double-rail traffic barrier
on a paper pulping line in 2005,
Kimberly Clark has appointed A-Safe
as an approved supplier worldwide.
The polymer-based safety barrier systems provide the strength and durability of steel with the flexibility and reduced maintenance of plastic.
The plastic used has a special in-built memory, so any impact will be absorbed before the barrier automatically springs back to its original shape. Therefore, unlike steel alternatives, the A-Safe barrier does not need to be replaced or repaired each time it is hit.
