CRM Logistics ordered an RDS
Liftlog 100+ onboard weighing
system for a new truck in its fleet.
Rochester based independent logistics and warehousing provider CRM Logistics purchased a refurbished two-ton Heli h2000 forklift from the Strood depot of Grant Handling Lifttrucks. The RDS technology was supplied by regional distributor RDS South East.
CRM included the RDS Liftlog 100+ onboard weighing system to check-weigh pallets being loaded onto vehicles. CRM director Matthew Smith says the weighing system was required "to help our delivery trucks stay within weight restrictions and avoid costly overloads, whilst improving vehicle efficiency and reducing fuel expenditure." As part of the used forktruck service offered by Grant Handling, Smith, a lifelong West Ham fan, asked for the truck to come in his club's classic claret and blue colours, which Grant Handling sales manager Steve Clinch happily arranged.
As a Hammers supporter and season ticket holder at Upton Park, Matthew has taken his passion for his team into the workplace and as part of their commitment to a highquality range of new and refurbished forktrucks Grant Handling were happy to assist in this Clinch says: "We aim to provide packages tailored to our customer's requirements and to deliver the highest quality service. We choose RDS South East as our weighing system supplier as they pride themselves on giving the same level of service to their customers."
