Seymour Manufacturing International has completed a new contract which will save energy costs for one of the UK's leading artisan bakers. SMI has installed a Temperature Control Zone (TCZ) at Giles Foods to separate a chilled production area from a cleaning down area at the baker's Milton Keynes site.

The installation, carried out in June, means Giles Foods will save on its energy bills and carbon emissions as it no longer has to keep an entire warehouse at a chilled temperature.

A special track and durable wheels were designed by the company to support Tempro curtains pulled into place to act as a coldroom.

The SMI team took only hours to fit a 17.974m long by 4.123m high TCZ at Giles Foods.
