The original Ajax Safety Barrier was introduced in 1965; since then it has continually evolved to ensure it continues to accommodate an ever increasing demand for faster operations, larger capacity and improved safety of workers.
The Ajax barrier provides all-round edge protection designed to prevent injury to pallet truck operatives and other personnel when loading or unloading pallets from various floor height openings.
Today, there are two standard models of Ajax Safety Barrier - the spring-assisted, over-head Ajax Safety Barrier, and the counterbalance, swing arm version.
All standard Ajax Safety Barriers are constructed from mild steel and are supplied with a yellow powder coat finish (BS08E51).
Both models come in two standard sizes to suit single or double width pallets.
As the UK based designer and manufacturer of all Ajax Barriers Canal Engineering can also engineer barriers from stainless steel for use in corrosive or hygienic environments, can powder coat to any RAL colour and can adapt the design to suit the needs of a specific operation.
The Ajax Droprite Bridging Platform (pictured below) is designed specifically for easy loading and unloading of vehicles with varying height load beds for any warehouse docks or distribution centres.
All platforms have a spring assisted operation to ease manoeuvrability and can have fixed or folding side rails for protecting workers.
The company says: "At Ajax safety, reliability and value are our bywords for success. Any of the standard range of Ajax Droprite Bridging Platform can be adapted by our team of skilled and knowledgeable engineers to suit any unique environments or bespoke dimensions required."
