Slings assist wind farm build

Trans-web continues to expand its supply of large round slings to the wind farm construction industry through one of its major distributors, J W O'Pray in Hull.

J W O'Pray was approached by a development company that is involved in the construction of a wind farm in Wales. Its construction team needed high capacity large round slings, capable of lifting up to 100 tonnes, for its turbine tower lifting operation on a virtual next day delivery basis, and J W O'Pray had no hesitation in approaching its supply partner, Trans-web, with this rushed, bespoke job.
