High Bay cuts carbon with HEP
12 December 2012
The new Alvara High Bay luminaire has the potential to reduce the energy consumption of high bay lighting by 75%.

The new Alvara High Bay
luminaire, part of the new
Alvara product range from
Ceravision, incorporating
the company's high
efficiency plasma (HEP)
technology, has the
potential to reduce
the energy
consumption of high bay
lighting installations by 75%.
Alvara is an innovative product that, compared to high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, is more efficient and delivers the lumen output (minimum 96 lm/system watt) to replace, on average, two traditional high bay fittings.
The quality of the light is also improved (4,500K,CRI 80+), with faster start up and double the lamp life. Alvara fittings are also dimmable (30-100% linear dimming), using Ceravision's intelligent operating system.
