handling exhibition) in 2010,
McCain Foods (GB) paid a visit to
their stand, and were impressed at
what they saw.
When McCain needed new barriers, they contacted A-Safe. ASafe's Richard Elphee went out to see the frozen food giant, and gave them a free barrier trial around their pallet inverter.
McCain were so impressed they ordered barriers from A-Safe, and have been doing ever since. They are about to receive their fifth install, and are eventually looking to completely kit out the warehouse in Scarborough with A-Safe barriers.
"The first A-Safe barrier that we put in looks as good as it did when it was installed. There is no substantial damage, even after a few bumps," a spokesperson for McCain said.
"As well as the obvious maintenance and safety benefits, they look good too. They make the warehouse look brighter, and the barriers are more visual to passing traffic." McCain have now got quite a collection of A-Safe products installed in Scarborough, including bollards, traffic and pedestrian barriers, and traffic plus barriers.
They also have HD barriers in their cold stores, which withstand temperatures down to -40 deg C.
