vente-privee.com has set up a Brand Supply Chain Club to help optimise collaboration and ease the flow of products between the online flash sales pioneer and its 2,000 partner brands.
Last week, the first meeting of the Brand Supply Chain Club was held at the Pin Up studios in Paris, an event initiated by Jean-Michel Guarneri, supply chain director of vente-privee.com.
"I see collaboration and innovation as the two pillars of success for enterprises,” explains Jean-Michel. "The Brand Supply Chain Club seeks to establish a collaborative working platform between the supply chain of vente-privee.com and that of brands.”
Following the meeting, a board comprising representatives from top French and international brands was created. The club will meet two or three times per year with the aim of sharing best practice and finding innovative solutions to the logistic and supply chain problems generated by the growing power of e-commerce and multi-channel retail.
More than 40 representatives from prestigious brands from all sectors (fragrance, cosmetics, fashion, shoes, interiors, fine foods etc) were present at the launch event.
"We want to understand the constraints brands are operating within so as to better collaborate with them, and we want to help brands see how our supply chain works.
"The aim to improve the process of executing sales and come up with new solutions to take cost and complexity out of logistics where possible, for the benefit of everyone,” concludes Jean-Michel.
